My Journey

Hi! I'm Gauri Joshi, an artist from Mumbai, India, and a biologist by profession. My love for nature began in childhood, when I would spend hours buried in encyclopedias, mesmerized by the world of animals and plants. That early fascination with the natural world became a big part of who I am today.

Alongside my love for biology, I've always been drawn to the magic of fantasy worlds. As a child, I adored stories like The Chronicles of Narnia and spent countless hours immersed in games like Warcraft III and World of Warcraft. Tales of wizards, warriors, and enchanted lands continue to fuel my imagination and often find their way into my artwork.

My journey with art began in school during mandatory art classes. Back then, I never imagined it would become more than a hobby. Like many science students, my focus stayed on academics. But during the pandemic, everything shifted. With time to reflect and explore, I reconnected with my creative side. Social media opened the door to a vibrant world of artists, and I picked up my brush again — for good.
